Dr. Gull Mohammad Azhari.

Moulana Dr Bhat Gull Mohammad Azhari is a prominent Islamic scholar, intellectual, author, and orator from the Anantnag district of South Kashmir. He is the founder of Markazul Maarifil Islamia, located at Azhari Maidaan Zodder, Mirbazar, and holds academic credentials from Kashmir university J&k, Jamia Nizamuddeen Awlia Dehli, Aligarh Muslim University U.P ,Jamia Al-Azhar, Egypt and Cairo University Egypt.

About MMI

Name of this Mission is Markazul Maarifil Islamia and its head quarter is situated at Azhari-Maidan Zodder Furrah p/o Bumthan Anantnag. The institution can open branches at different places with in the area of operation. The area of operation will be the whole UT of J&K but preferably in Kashmir Provenance.

DECLARATION OF INSTITUTION

The Institution desire to hold the amount and other property, whether movable or immovable including the investment by way of share’s, fixed deposits Govt Securities, bonds or debentures or any other by way of acquisition donations, gift or otherwise however, upon the institution and for the objects & aims here in after mentioned.

MEMORANDUM OF THE INSTITUTION

Markazul Maarifil Islamia is a nongovernmental educational and social welfare institution established with purpose to impart Sufi based Islamic Education to general people and serve in different fields of society. Its headquarters are located at Azhari-Maidan south west of district Anantnag at the distance of 5 kilo meters from the main Anantnag Town.

It was the 04-12-2004 that Moulana Dr bhat Gull Mohammad Azhari came forward and made some conscious intellectual, slime personages and respected citizens of Zodder, Bumthan, Furrah, Lalan, Ganoora, Monghal, Novwathoo, chichripora, Gund-i-Jafer, Chirhama, Lalipora, Malapora, Khriwan, Katruna, Mirbazar, Nipora and Kamad etc villages to establish an institution namely Markazul Maarifil Islamia almost to be located centrally and the sight Azhari-Maidan Zodder Furrah was proposed. The chairman Moulana Dr bhat Gull Mohammad Azhari donated 1 lac 5 thousand and land for the said institution was purchased, and then people of the locality also donated at about 6 Kanals of land for the institution and a body was framed under the chairmanship of Moulana Dr Azhari.

Marlazul Maarifil Islamia and adjacent villagers felt a need to come forward and contribute their monetary share consultations to the betterment and welfare of the needy persons like persons economically constrained and especially for the up-liftement and for the betterment of orphans through length and breadth of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. They also planned to constitute a managing body at the first instant for the internal up-liftment and development of the institution.

The mission shall be non political and will work honestly for the general welfare of the orphans irrespective of color, creed, sex, cast and religion and will work within the framework of the constitution. There are large numbers of innocent people with out having any shelter to live in and without any proper arrangement for their education. The mission has felt to take necessary steps to change the conditions of needy persons having begging bowels in their hands and hand over pen & paper in their hands in order to illuminate their lives and eradicate illiteracy.

AIMS & OBJECTS

The first and foremost motto of M.M.I. is spread of Sufism based Islamic education, and in this regard it will undertake charity programs, schools, and educational centers will be opened and operated in the educationally backward areas in various parts of Jammu & Kashmir. Short term courses in computer teaching are also part of the planner.

Marriage of the poverty-stricken people, reconstruction of demolished houses and financial aids are part of these programs.

Beacons of knowledge for the helpless. M.M.I. will stand by the poor in their endeavors to reach the new horizon of knowledge. Deserving students may be offered financial aids and scholarships to continue their study in various colleges and universities, under the special scheme.

M.M.I has attained vast land for above mentioned purposes. There will be residential students whom boarding, lodging, education and medical care will be met by M.M.I.

Other Details of aims & objects are as blow.

a. To strike for education, upliftement, and wellbeing of the poor and needy students and organize such awareness camps for their social upliftment.

b. To hone patriotic sprit among the Islamic scholars and counter the radicalization which was spread by the hate mongers.

c. To establish maintain, run, develop, extend grant donation for aid assist in the establishment, maintenance running development and improvement of extension hospitals, dispensaries, maternity homes, relaxation centre and all similar institution including of orphanage for affording treatment to alleviate human suffering.

d. To establish rehabilitation centre for the drug addicts, smoker’s etc.

e. To publish literary articles for the propagation of moral education in the society to eradicate various social evils, upliftment of economically weak & educationally backward sections of the society.

f. To incur expenses in solemnizing the marriage of orphan and other poor girls who do not have any source of income and can not in a position to maintain her selves to enter into a marriage because of their financial instability.

g. To award scholarship in the state for the higher Education and research.

h. To promote cultural & civilization thought among the public in general

i. Universalization of moral, ethical, spiritual and academic free education to common public preferably to the downtrodden needy persons and cultivate social, moral and spiritual values.

j. To promote women empowerment by providing the awareness to them regarding their rights and duties.

k. To decrease the school droplets from the school by providing some financial and encouraging assistance.

l. To build a volunteer youth organization & cultivate in them social service concept.

m. To direct & initiate the volunteer organization to use natural resources for the maximum & aware the people regarding saving of wastage of production as well as resources.

n. To Promote fraternity among the different religions and sects.
